What are your assignments?
General
- Identifying and correctly apprehending clients' objectives/requirements to be handled;
- Conducting in-depth research and analysis of information/legal documents to obtain necessary legal grounds;
- Assisting partners in business development and internal matters;
- Supervising and training junior associate(s);
- Participating in promotional activities and business development programs of the firm in any appropriate ways and means;
- Performing other assignments as delegated by partners or senior lawyers from time to time.
Advisory:
- Preparing and providing legal advice to the client’s satisfaction on aspects of Vietnam laws (commercial contracts, mergers and acquisitions, corporate, investment, real estate, etc.);
- Preparing, drafting, reviewing agreements, contracts, MOU, legal due diligence, internal corporate documents (i.e. charters, internal policies and other corporate documents), and other legal documents at the request of the clients;
- Handling assigned projects in contract, M&A, investment and corporate, including meeting and working directly with the clients and third parties;
- Liaising with government authorities to address the client’s requirements as well as to follow up the ongoing cases;
- Attending meetings with clients and third parties.
Licensing:
- Providing compliance guidance and support to the business on all regulatory licensing matters;
- Leading, supporting the procedures for applying for licenses with state authorities;
- Acting for and on behalf of clients to work with state authorities;
- Traveling as needed for meetings in person with regulators, examinations and attend the meeting;
- Reviewing and revising contracts, agreements, applications, and other legal documents as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Holding a LLB, LLM, J.D or other equivalent degree in Law;
- Fluent in English (both spoken and written).
- Having at least 3 years of working experience with local and/or foreign law firms;
- Having strong experience in working with government agencies/court;
- Having logical thinking, good analytic, strong presentation and negotiating skills;
- Being dynamic, responsible and priority minded;
- Being able to work independently and under pressure of deadlines.
