Absolute Software is now looking for Senior Java Software Engineers with the following responsibilities:
• Translate application user stories into functional applications
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
• Maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
• Write and maintain high quality unit tests
• Perform code review
• Adhere to the acceptance criteria and the Definition of Done

• At least 4 years of experience working in J2EE technologies
• Proficient in Java/J2EE and Spring framework, with a good knowledge of its ecosystems
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming
• Familiar with various design and architectural patterns
• Skill for writing reusable Java libraries
• Knowledge of concurrency patterns in Java
• Familiarity with concepts of MVC, and RESTful
• Proficiency with SQL
• Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
• Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
• Ability to clearly communicate with both technical and non-technical team members

Other nice-to-have:
• Experience with Agile Scrum
• Familiarity with build tools such as Maven, Jenkin, and SonarQube
