• Manage the recruitment systems within the hotel, paying particular attention to advertising, screening, work permits, reference checks and administration of all new hires.
• Liaison with recruitment agencies and hotel schools
• Co-ordinate work experience programs
• Manage the on-line recruitment through Merlin Web Site
• Site inspections for schools, colleges, and universities
• Correct and timely placement of internal and external advertisements
• Conduct exit interviews and provide feedback on reasons for turnover
• Adherence to pre, during and post-employment checklists
• Ensure Staff and Manager awareness of HR Policies and procedures
• Ensure information relating to industrial instruments is readily available to all Staff and Managers
• Manage performance management system and cycle of recruitment, induction, training, development, and succession for all Levels and ensure process is adhered to for other positions (together with DHR)
• Assist with line staff counselling and career management
• Assist line managers in the recruitment, induction, training, development, and succession for all levels.
• Initiate programs which foster good work relations such as social club and consultative committees
• Maintenance of employee files
• Maintenance and administration of OH&S work place cases, as well as the management of rehabilitation programs
• Data Base Management
• Manage standardized responses to correspondence
• Assists in maintaining a comprehensive, current and guest focused set of departmental standards and procedures and oversees their implementation through ongoing training guidelines
• Coaches, counsels and disciplines staff, providing constructive feedback to enhance performance
• Regularly communicates with staff and maintains good relations
• Execute Associate Recognition Program
• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Human Resources or Training.
• 1 years of relevant experience or similar supervisory role, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
• Problem solving, analytical, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities.
• Good writing skills
• Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with others; demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of Local Labour's and Employment Regulations
