Upon founding AvePoint, Kai Gong and Dr. Tianyi Jiang (TJ) built the company’s first product, a backup solution for Microsoft Exchange.

At Microsoft TechEd 2003, AvePoint announced its newest product to support customers migrating from SharePoint 2001 to SharePoint 2003.

The rapid popularity of SharePoint led to the creation of DocAve, our platform for SharePoint migration, management, and data protection.

AvePoint received its first investment from Summit Partners and maintained its commitment to strategic growth.

Adding to our portfolio of products, AvePoint introduced an early version of our governance solution, DocAve automating policies for customers. For our work with the U.S. Army, AvePoint received a Certificate of Networthiness, which cleared our products for deployment throughout the U.S. Army's IT infrastructure.

Given the rise in cloud computing, AvePoint transforms to offer a subscription model to support self-hosted, hybrid, and SaaS deployments. We introduced AvePoint Cloud Backup, our award-winning backup-as-a-service product, and garnered our first global Microsoft Partner of the Year Award for Public Safety & National Security.

AvePoint launched its machine-learning enabled virtual assistant, AVA, and expanded its support of the digital workplace with products for Google and Salesforce. As cloud adoption accelerated, AvePoint introduced new products for information management and SaaS management.

AvePoint lists on Nasdaq as AVPT and celebrates this milestone in Times Square, New York. We expanded into industry solutions with AvePoint Edutech, our SaaS modern learning product line. We also debuted the AvePoint Partner Program to expand our channel presence, and earned the highest possible ranking in the Forrester New Wave: SaaS Application Data Protection.

AvePoint invests $100 million SGD in its new International R&D Hub in Singapore and established a growing R&D presence in Vietnam. We also completed four strategic acquisitions – tyGraph, Essential Co., Combined Knowledge, and i-Access Solutions – to expand offerings for customers and grow our global footprint.

We expanded the Confidence Platform with our support for Power Platform data protection, migration, and management. We also introduced new products for AI-powered information lifecycle management and announced our exclusive Microsoft Content AI partnership. AvePoint received an anchor investment from 65 Equity Partners which reflects their confidence in our vision to advance the digital workplace, capture growing markets, and prioritize profitable growth.

AvePoint continued to enhance its offerings and industry presence. We expanded our FedRAMP (moderate) authorization to include three new products, bolstering our support for the public sector. Our inaugural AI and Information Management Report highlighted that organizations with mature information management strategies are 1.5 times more likely to realize the benefits of their AI deployments. We introduced new analytics capabilities and first-to-market benchmarking for Microsoft 365 Copilot, enabling organizations to measure and optimize their AI adoption and usage patterns. Enhancements to our Microsoft 365 workspace management solution, MyHub, evolved our comprehensive data security, governance, and resilience capabilities within the AvePoint Confidence Platform. Additionally, we launched Cloud Backup Express to accelerate secure data protection, and opened an AI Lab in Singapore to drive industry-focused innovation. AvePoint was honored to be named to Inc.'s Annual List of Best Workplaces and received the Global Microsoft Partner of the Year Award for the sixth time, reflecting our commitment to excellence and innovation.
